PermalinkMy family has a plot in the Good Prospect Community Garden, on Cortland at Prospect:

I've never given it the time or attention it deserves, but this year, of course, will be different. I'd like to grow tomatos, zucchini and dinosaur kale. Maybe some basil as well? I have access to unimaginable quantities of horse manure, so I'm planning to start by turning over the soil with a few tubs full of that.
Any advice?

No advice, but I do wish you could send me some of that manure. The tomatoes and zucchinis will love it, at any rate.
If you like cucumbers, maybe consider growing some of those? I did this year and found them very satisfying. Most types work best growing up a trellisy or frame, so they won't take up too much horizontal space.
